Brendan Eich (1961-present)
Brendan Eich is the creator of JavaScript. He also was a co-creator of all things for Mozilla. He served as Mozilla’s chief technical officer as well as their chief executive officer for a short period of time. He resigned after controversy started to sprout up over a $1,000 donation he had made years before to an anti-gay rights campaign. He earned his bachelor’s degree at Santa Clara University studying math and science. He created JavaScript, which is now the most widely-used programming system, in just 10 days during a programming marathon in 1995.
